The BBC Sound Effects Archive is a collection of over 33,000 clips from the past 100 years, including recordings from the BBC Radiophonic workshop, Blitz in London, special effects for BBC TV and Radio productions, and 15,000 recordings from the Natural History Unit archive. The archive offers a vast collection of sounds from every continent, from college bells in Oxford to Patagonian waterfalls. Users can also create and share their own mixes and soundscapes using the 'mixer mode' function, which allows layering, editing, and re-ordering of clips from the archive.
